Aiden O’Rourke is an artist located in the Greater Boston area where he was born and raised. He has exhibited in several juried shows at the Mazmanian Gallery located at Framingham State University, where he will also receive his Bachelor of Arts, having been awarded Excellence in the Arts and Humanities in 2023. He has interned in both the gallery space and the marketing sphere, viewing different aspects of the Art world. 

The work that I create is that of an unstable harmony, likewise, it's incredibly indicative of my perspectives. Creating and making art is simultaneously an act of embracing the uncontrollable qualities of life, while also being a preservation of history and oneself. I tend to see my work largely as a challenge in itself, oftentimes not understanding the process fully. Through collage, and an approach using mixed media applications, I provide emphasis on control versus the uncontrolled, both in the inner life and larger scope of the world. In creating, I often quarrel with the image, the result being a balance of rigid perfectionism and letting go.
